Tell me about your musical roots

Growing up in East London, I was surrounded by and attracted to urban music, especially if it was from the UK. My family was also a big influence on me regarding music. I grew up in a household that regularly played reggae, soul, funk, and rare groove, and I try to implement sounds from those genres in the music I play today.

What is your favourite place to dig and why?

Currently in London, my favourite spots are Crazy Beat and Vinyl Vanguard. I also like to visit my good friend Jason, who lives in Margate and goes by the name of Plastic Vinyl Dog.

What do you listen to when you want to chill?

I listen to a lot of soul, funk ,jazz funk, jazz but I can appreciate anything that’s good.
